Living Independently Group Inc. and LifePlans Inc. are joining forces to look after seniors and others who need long term care.

Living Independently, New York, is a monitoring service that watches over vulnerable individuals to assure their safety and independence.

LifePlans, Waltham, Mass., is an LTC risk-management firm.

The companies will combine the QuietCare services of Living Independently with personal support from LifePlans’ elder care staff.

LifePlans has expanded its call center to handle requests for the QuietCare system. LifePlans support specialists will help family members interpret status reports, recognize potential health problems and intervene when necessary, the companies say.
