A giant financial services company is trying to reach out to Hispanic and African-American consumers.
Prudential Financial Inc., Newark, N.J., has started running television commercials aimed at those consumers as well as the general population on cable channels such as ESPN, TV Food, BET, Lifetime and The History Channel.
One of the commercials, “This Much,” features a mother who kisses her young daughter good night and thinks about how much she loves her.
That commercial will air in English, Spanish and mixed language versions, Prudential says.
The other commercial, “Happy Birthday,” features an African-American father who is talking to his young daughter during a birthday celebration.
