The Council for Affordable Quality Health care has named Harry Reynolds to be chair of the steering committee for the group’s Committee on Operating Rules for Information Exchange.

CAQH, Washington, is a coalition of health insurers and provider network companies that is trying to simplify health plan administration. It formed the information exchange committee, commonly known as CORE, in January 2005 in an effort to help doctors and other health care providers use electronic systems to get insurance eligibility and benefits information.

Reynolds is the information compliance officer at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, N.C. He also serves on a privacy subcommittee for the National Committee on Vital and Health Statistics.
