A health insurance unit of UnitedHealth Group Inc. will be using its parent’s clout to offer individual and family policies with solid provider networks in Georgia.

Golden Rule Insurance Company, Indianapolis, a subsidiary of UnitedHealth, Minnetonka, Minn., says the individual and family products it will be selling in Georgia will include traditional co-pay plans as well as high-deductible, health savings account-compatible plans.

Golden Rule will be sharing a UnitedHealth provider network in Georgia that includes 12,500 physicians and 147 hospitals.
