Rydex ETF Hits Milestone

Rydex Investments announced August 23 that its Rydex S&P Equal Weight exchange traded fund (ticker: RSP)–an ETF that tracks the S&P Equal Weight Index (SPXEW)–has reached the $1 billion in assets mark. Since its inception in April 2003, RSP has returned 23.21%; the cap-weighted S&P 500 Index has returned 15.05% during that same period. The company also announced that the Chicago Board Options Exchange began listing options on the ETF in August.
