Quality Care Solutions Inc. and Fiserv Inc. have formed health insurance administration software partnerships.[@@]

- Quality Care, Phoenix, will be working with BearingPoint Inc., McLean, Va., to sell administration systems to health insurers that offer health savings accounts, health reimbursement arrangements and other types of personal health accounts.

BearingPoint is the consulting firm once known as KPMG Consulting, and Quality Care is the parent of MyHealthBank, a pioneer in the health account software market.

- Fiserv, Brookfield, Wis., says its Fiserv Health unit will be working with Electronic Data Systems Corp., Plano, Texas, to market the EDS MetaVance health plan administration system to health plans.

The EDS contract is a multi-year agreement, Fiserv says.

EDS runs the MetaVance system on its own computers and charges each customer a fee based on the size of the customer’s health plan, Fiserv says.
