A Southeastern health insurer is using the Web to sell advertising and marketing materials to benefits advisors.[@@]
Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Tennessee, Chattanooga, Tenn., has set up an online “marketing assistance program.”
The Web-based MAP system can sell benefits advisors Tennessee Blue-approved ads for newspapers, direct mailings, telephone directories and shared advertising inserts.
The MAP system also can organize complete direct marketing campaigns: Producers who want someone else to do all the work can pay to have Tennessee Blue do everything from printing brochures to mailing brochures to prospects, the company says.
Separate materials are available for group, individual and Medicare supplement products.
Tennessee Blue may take about 5 days to approve orders and about 10 days to ship printed materials, the company says.
