Amisys To Market Benny Card

A Maryland health information technology company has joined the rush to offer benefits account debit cards.[@@]

Amisys Synertech Inc., Rockville, Md., has agreed to market the Benny debit card from Evolution Benefits Inc., Avon, Conn., to employers that want to offer “consumer-directed” health programs that combine high-deductible health coverage with personal benefits accounts.

The Amisys Benny card will help program members document purchases made through the Web and through mail-order pharmacies as well as purchases made through drug stores and other stores, Evolution says.

The deal includes training for Amisys staff members and enrollment materials for each case, Evolution says.

Employers with at least 5,000 eligible employees will get access to a flexible spending account contribution analysis system from Milliman USA, Seattle.
