Klein Gets AHIP Vaccine Safety Fellowship

NU Online News Service, April 1, 2004, 5:04 p.m. EST – America’s Health Insurance Plans, Washington, says Dr. Nicola Klein of Stanford University will be the first AHIP Vaccine Safety Fellow.[@@]

Klein will work with Kaiser Permanente, Oakland, Calif., to study the safety and effectiveness of vaccines given to premature babies.

AHIP, a major U.S. health insurance trade group, has a contract with the federal government to oversee health plan vaccine safety and effectiveness research.
