Group Health Updates Web Site

NU Online News Service, Feb. 11, 2004, 4:15 p.m. EST – Group Health Inc., New York, has made its Web site more interactive.[@@]

Group Health has set up a private, secure e-mail system that registered members and health care providers can use to communicate directly with Group Health’s customer service operation.

In the past, members could use the site to search for doctors and get basic account information. The member section of the site is now easier to use, and members now have access to up-to-date claims status and eligibility information, Group Health says.

The old site also included some client-specific information aimed at brokers, but brokers usually had to call, write or fax Group Health to act on the information.

Now, a broker can use the site to get quotes for small groups, track and manage commission payments, and manage group health accounts, Group Health says.
