LONDON (HedgeWorld.com)–Cutter Associates Europe Ltd. hired Torquil Warren as business development manager to help expand membership in Cutter Associates’ investment management technology research groups, the Technology Council and the Technology Forum.

Mr. Warren previously worked at Jonathan Wren Group, a London-based staffing, consulting and managed services firm.

At Cutter, Mr. Warren will be responsible for expanding membership of Cutter Associates’ Technology Council, which comprises senior technology managers from 53 of the world’s largest investment management firms, and the Technology Forum, which includes representatives from midsize European investment management firms. The Tech Council and the Tech Forum conduct research on technological issues, said Stephen Hale, managing director at Cutter Associates.

Among the research currently being conducted by Cutter Associates for the Tech Council is fixed-income analytic systems, Mr. Hale said. At the direction of Tech Council members, Cutter Associates is performing research on fixed-income analytics systems, including issuing requests for information from and speaking directly with analytics vendors.

The information gathered will be passed on to Tech Council members, who may use it to select one of the vendors or to justify a previous decision, Mr. Hale said.

Mr. Warren also will work to expand Cutter Associates’ management systems consulting business in Europe.
