Administrator Of Mine Worker Retiree Plan Agrees To Stick With Healthaxis

NU Online News Service, Aug. 20, 2003, 3:44 p.m. EDT – AAG Benefit Plan Administrators Inc., Fort Worth, Texas, has agreed to continue to use claims-processing and administrative software from Healthaxis Inc., Irving, Texas, until 2009 to administer the United Mine Workers of America Health and Retirement Funds Combined Benefit Fund, the UMWA 1992 Benefit Plan and the UMWA 1993 Benefit Plan.

AAG, a unit of American Administrative Group Inc., began using the Healthaxis Insur-Claims, Insur-Admin and BPO Services systems to run the UMWA retiree health plans in 2000.

The plans have more than 100,000 members.

Healthaxis runs the plan administration software on its computers, and AAG employees reach the software through the Web.
