NEW YORK (HedgeWorld.com)–Peter H. Hahn joined Cargill Investor Services as a vice president for global business development, a new position.

Mr. Hahn is working out of the firm’s New York office, focusing on introducing new customers to CIS products and services. He is responsible for developing global business relationships with corporate risk managers, funds and banks. He said Cargill is currently in a transformation mode trying to super charge its marketing efforts.

Much of Mr. Hahn’s focus will be on the growing hedge fund community that can use the firm’s exchange-traded derivatives and basic futures commission merchant services. The firm also sells over-the-counter derivatives under Cargill’s risk management arm.

Before joining Cargill, Mr. Hahn was at Nidera Inc., Stamford, Conn., where he was in charge of trading and managing a proprietary book and a cash commodity book, directed global oilseed/product analysis and trading strategy and also developed risk management structures.
