Guarantee Trust To Sell Limited-Benefit Health Plans

NU Online News Service, March 21, 2003, 3:43 p.m. EST – Guarantee Trust Life Insurance Company, Glenview, Ill., will be selling two limited-benefit health plans, the ProDrivers Choice plan and the Fundamental Care plan, developed by Star HRG, a unit of UICI, Dallas.

The ProDrivers plan, which is aimed at truck drivers, and the Fundamental Care plan, which is aimed at part-time employees and low-paid hourly employees, both offer a few thousand dollars of insurance coverage for certain kinds of acute illnesses and accidental injuries.

The plans also provide discounts on preventive care, vision care and dental care.

The ProDrivers plan offers a choice of two levels of coverage, and the Fundamental Care plan offers a choice of three levels of coverage, Guarantee says.
