Hartford Offers Web-Billing For Health Plan Administrators

NU Online News Service, March 7, 2003, 11:01 a.m. EST – The Hartford Financial Services Group Inc., Hartford, is offering a Web-based billing system for benefits administrators that collect premiums for self-insured employers with medical stop-loss insurance from Hartford.

E-billing users can view and edit premium statements, submit premiums and track policyholder payment histories through the Web. They can also use the system to pay a reconciled bill and to adjust census, rates and commission levels, Hartford says.

Customers can make payments using checks, automated clearinghouse systems or electronic fund transfers.
