NU Online News Service, March 4, 2003, 2:45 p.m. EDT – Aetna Inc., Hartford, has picked Connecture Inc., Atlanta, to provide automated sales and service support for small employer groups that buy Aetna health insurance.
Connecture and its systems will offer price quotes, generate proposals, underwrite prospective customers, enroll employees in plans and process renewals.
To handle the job, Connecture will have to integrate data from more than 20 different Aetna computer systems, Connecture says.
Connecture plans to start implementing the contract by using the Web to automate the renewal process for Aetna’s small employer groups.
