Contracting With LTC Insurers? Give Them A Call

When performing due diligence on LTC insurers, try giving them a phone call, suggests LTC Specialist Michael Middleton of Overland Park, Kansas. Heres why:

You get to see whether a person or a machine answers the phone.

You can ask if the company has local support in your own community.

If you leave a message, you will learn about how quickly staffers return phone calls.

The conversation helps you understand how committed the company is to the LTC product.

You can sample the insurers service level by trying some of the phone options.

You get a first impression, and that counts. See what it tells you.
