NU Online News Service, Dec. 19, 9:49 a.m. – Health Net Inc., Woodland Hills, Calif., has hired Dr. Roberto Martinez to be the chief medical officer for its Northeastern region, which includes Connecticut, New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania.
Martinez succeeds Dr. John Charde, who has become Health Net’s vice president for health improvement.
Martinez previously was a corporate medical director at Aetna Inc., Hartford, where he handled national accounts and global benefits.
Martinez has a bachelor’s degree from Baylor University and a medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine. He is a board-certified family practitioner.
