>Former Archstone Research Director Joins Deutsche

NEW YORK (HedgeWorld.com)–Deutsche Bank tapped Brian Rice, previously director of research at Fred Shuman’s Archstone Partners, a New York-based hedge fund of funds manager.

Mr. Rice had not been in Archstone long, having joined in 2001. Before that he was again at Deutsche Bank. The bank confirmed that Mr. Rice is currently an employee, but he could not be reached for comment.

In the meantime, Archstone is reportedly looking for a new research chief. Mr. Shuman gave equity stakes to some executives this year. The firm runs well over US$1 billion in assets.
