NU Online News Service, Aug. 19, 12:37 p.m. – Conning Research & Consulting Inc., Hartford, has published “State Regulation of Health Insurance: The Unseen Crisis,” a report that describes and attacks current state efforts to regulate health insurance.

The author, Robert Booz, is a Conning vice president and former managed-care executive who contends that state mandates have increased the cost of health insurance as much as 25%, forcing many Americans to do without coverage altogether.
