NU Online News Service, Aug. 16, 5:40 p.m. – AmeriHealth Insurance Company, Mount Laurel, N.J., a managed-care company, has set up a Web-based health plan administration system for benefits administrators.

The insurer tested the site for nine months on 70 employers and has now opened the site to all client companies.

Administrators can use the site to add or delete member names, view employee benefit information and ask for identification cards. AmeriHealth says it hopes to add a feature for receiving and paying bills electronically within the next six months.
