Commonfund Names Walsh Managing Director of Altern

WILTON. Conn. (HedgeWorld.com)–Commonfund named Brian Walsh managing director of its marketable alternatives, a newly created position, putting the former Credit Lyonnais director at the helm of the manager selection, due diligence and portfolio monitoring for the Connecticut-based asset management firm.

As a former director and vice president in the Credit Lyonnais Credit Derivatives Group, Mr. Walsh oversaw manager selection and portfolio monitoring for absolute returns strategies, directional funds and other hedge fund strategies. Before Credit Lyonnais, Mr. Walsh was with Sanwa Bank.
