CIGNA Dental Encourages HMO Test Drives

NU Online News Service, May 23, 1:49 p.m. – CIGNA Dental, a unit of CIGNA Corp., Philadelphia, is introducing a dental program that gives members the ability to switch between health maintenance organization, preferred provider organization and indemnity plans each month.

CIGNA will offer the program in 2003 to employers that combine the CIGNA dental HMO with at least one other type of CIGNA dental plan.

Employers will get a monthly accounting of how many employees are enrolled in each type of plan and pay premiums based on the actual enrollment in each plan, CIGNA says.
