NU Online News Service, Feb. 8, 11:34 a.m. – BISYS Inc., New York, has acquired The Hanleigh Companies, Montvale, N.J., an insurance broker that specializes in setting up large disability insurance policies, kidnapping policies and other policies for professional athletes, entertainers and other wealthy customers.
The value of the deal was not available.
BISYS has not yet given any details on its plans for running Hanleigh, but Hanleigh says in a statement on its Web site that it expects to maintain significant operating autonomy because of the nature of its business.
