NU Online News Service, Dec. 5, 11:01 a.m. – Delta Dental Insurance Company, Maitland, Fla., has introduced a prepaid dental insurance program for individuals and families who are residents of Florida.
The product, DeltaCare, provides coverage for 140 procedures through a network of 1,600 dentists.
Plan members pay a monthly premium, along with a copayment for covered services.
The plan is administered by PMI Dental Health Plan, Cerritos, Calif.
Florida Delta is selling the product through its Web site, at http://www.deltaentalins.com
Florida Delta is part of the Delta Dental Plans Association, a nonprofit, nationwide association of Delta Dental plans that is modeled after the Blue Cross and Blue Shield system for major medical plans.
