Future Proof Plans New ‘Citywide’ Event in Miami Beach

Future Proof, the newly renamed events company behind the Future Proof Festival and the Future Proof Retreat, announced Wednesday the launch of a flagship event called Future Proof Citywide, scheduled for March 16-19 in Miami Beach.

Matt Middleton, co-founder and CEO of Future Proof, said the new outdoor event aims to redefine the landscape of investment management conferences in the United States, with a goal of bringing together more than 2,500 allocators and executives across wealth management, asset management, technology and media.

“We reinvented what wealth management conferences could be when we launched the Future Proof Festival in Huntington Beach in 2022,” Middleton said. “Now, we are going to do the same for the investment management space.”

Future Proof Citywide will occupy more than 25 hotels and “take over” a significant stretch of South Beach, according to the announcement, creating “the largest physical footprint of any investment management event.” The event will be hosted directly on the beachfront adjacent to Lummus Park between 6th and 10th streets.

“Conferences often focus narrowly on specific investor audiences, asset classes or investment vehicles, creating fragmentation,” Middleton said. “With Future Proof Citywide, we’re breaking down the walls to unite the entire investment management ecosystem — allocators, wealth managers, fund managers, fintechs, financial services providers and more.”

The event, backed by several dozen official launch partners from across the financial services ecosystem, will also feature an enhanced version of Future Proof’s tech-enabled networking program Breakthru, facilitating thousands of prescheduled meetings and hundreds of roundtable sessions.
