Thrivent Names Insurance Solutions Head: Personnel Moves
Global Atlantic, Resolution Life and Crown Global also have personnel news.
Thrivent Financial for Lutherans has hired Mike DeKoning to be senior vice president of insurance solutions.
DeKoning will manage the Minneapolis-based company’s life, health and annuity businesses.
DeKoning was previously the chief operating officer, and then the president, of Allstate Benefits.
Before that, he served as president of Munich American Reassurance Co, for 10 years.
He started out in life reinsurance and risk management at Manulife.
He has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Toronto.
Assured Allies
Assured Allies — a company that manages wellness and condition management for long-term care insurers — has hired Larry Nisenson to be chief growth officer.
Nisenson was previously the chief commercial officer for U.S. life at Genworth Financial.
He has also been national sales manager at American General, senior vice president for business development at AXA Equitable, and president of Plymouth Rock Assurance New Jersey.
He has a bachelor’s degree from Rutgers University.
Resolution Life
Resolution Life — a Bermuda-based company that acquires and manages blocks of in-force life insurance business — has hired Simon Woods to be group chief financial officer.
Woods was previously was a partner at EY in Zurich. Earlier, he was head of insurance financing for Goldman Sachs’ investment banking division in London.
He has also worked for PwC, HSBC and UBS.
He has a master’s degree from Balliol College.
Global Atlantic
Global Atlantic has hired Alberto Autmezguine to be the chief financial officer and chief actuary for its Bermuda companies.
Autmezguine was previously president of Oceanview Reinsurance, and he has been head of individual annuity valuation at Prudential Financial.
He has a bachelor’s degree from Concordia University.
