Stifel Adds 3 Merrill Advisors

Two advisors moved to Stifel in Dallas, while the other did so in the St. Louis area; the three had combined assets of $243 million.

Stifel has recruited three financial advisors from Merrill Lynch who worked with a combined $243 million in client assets.

Moving to Stifel, Nicolaus & Co.’s Dallas office are John Carpenter and Faisal Raza, who were responsible for $128 million in total client assets at Merrill Lynch, according to Stifel.

Carpenter has 24 years of industry experience, while Raza has five years in the business.

Carpenter and Rare are joining Stifel’s new office “in the heart of Uptown Dallas, where they will join the four other advisors we have already hired in our office this year,” according to JR Koeijmans, branch manager.

“John and Faisal are the type of people that others want to work with and will help us build upon our already strong, established culture,”  Koeijmans said in a statement.

Meanwhile, Jake Allen has joined the Stifel subsidiary’s office in Frontenac, Missouri, a suburb of St. Louis. At Merrill Lynch, he was responsible for $115 million in client assets, Stifel said.

Allen has 24 years of industry experience, including 21 years at Merrill Lynch, where he last served as a senior vice president.

Stifel had 2,271 advisors with total assets of $325 billion as of Sept. 30, according to the firm’s third-quarter earnings report.
