Dynasty Financial Partners has partnered with RIA Mariner Wealth Advisors to roll out a national wealth management platform for advisors.

The firms say that platform, Mariner Platform Solutions, will combine Mariner’s wealth management skills with Dynasty’s Core Services platform and its turnkey asset management platform. The result/? Advisors get access to Dynasty’s advisor desktop, in-house specialists and home-office support.

“We see a tremendous opportunity in the market in providing advisors with capabilities of two of the most successful firms in wealth management,” according to Mariner CEO Marty Bicknell. “I have watched [Dynasty’s] success in shaping the independent space, and we look forward to working with them.”

Mariner works with some $28 billion in client assets.

“Mariner Platform Solutions brings together the strengths of both firms,” Dynasty CEO Shirl Penney said in a statement. Bicknell, he adds, has been “one of the best entrepreneurs and investors in the independent space over the past 10 plus years.”

Dynasty also says Mariner and 1248 Holdings, a Bicknell family office, have invested in its business; they join Envestnet, which invested in Dynasty in January.

In early March, Mariner Wealth Advisors entered into a binding agreement to acquire the assets of Wealth Health, its 11th acquisition in about a year. In late 2019, the RIA agreed to acquire tax practices G. M. Bremer & Associates and David G. Miller & Associates.
