LPL Financial says Synergy Wealth Alliance, a group that works with $650 million in assets and includes 15 financial advisors, has joined its hybrid platforms from Cetera Financial Group.

Synergy is led by office of supervisory jurisdiction manager and CEO Christopher Bordner, who started in the business in 1999 at MetLife Securities, according to FINRA BrokerCheck.

The team is based in Maitland, Florida, near Orlando and aims to double in size every three years. “We want to do that smartly and effectively,” according to Bordner. “That’s why the team turned to LPL for support.”

The group plans to use LPL’s outsourced CFO service and its marketing consultancy to form a digital marketing strategy. “This will help us determine how to deliver our message more concisely and effectively,” he said, in a statement.

The members of Synergy Wealth were looking for a growth partner who could serve them for the long run, and we are honored that the team turned to us,” explained Rich Steinmeier, LPL Financial managing director and divisional president of Business Development, in a statement.

The wealth firm offers advisors access to shared support services that include an in-house compliance officer, marketing manager and client service professionals. It also says it builds a succession plan for advisors joining the group.
