Two former Securities and Exchange Commission heavyweights on Tuesday rejoined WilmerHale’s securities group as partners.

Dan Gallagher, who served as a commissioner at the SEC from Nov. 7, 2011 to Oct. 2, 2015, serves as deputy chair of the firm’s securities department. Gallagher advises corporate boards and management as well as financial services and accounting firms in investigations, regulatory proceedings and policy matters.

Gallagher spent the last two years as chief legal officer at Mylan, a leading generic drug maker, and was formerly president of Patomak Global Partners, a financial services consulting firm headed by former SEC Commissioner Paul Atkins.

Lucas Moskowitz, former chief of staff to SEC Chairman Jay Clayton, rejoins Wilmer to represent corporations and individuals facing complex government investigations, enforcement actions, litigation and legislative inquiries.

Moskowitz previously served as chief investigative counsel for the Senate Banking Committee, counsel to the House Financial Services Committee, as well as an SEC enforcement lawyer.
