Michael Gatti has joined Triad Advisors, a broker-dealer owned by Ladenburg Thalmann Financial Services with about 630 financial advisors, as vice president of business development.

In this role, Gatti will be responsible for identifying, qualifying and onboarding independent advisors. He also will interact extensively with product sponsors, wholesalers and other business contacts, and report to Nate Stibbs, executive vice president and chief strategy officer.

Stibbs said in a statement, “Triad has enjoyed substantial growth over the years, much of which can be attributed to our success in effectively attracting hybrid advisory firms. Michael Gatti is an industry veteran with a broad background and consultative approach to successfully developing relationships. His addition to Triad will prove valuable as we continue our efforts to grow our firm.”

Prior to joining, Gatti was an external RIA wholesaler at Colony NorthStar and, before that, at CNL Securities. At CNL, he was a founding member of the RIA distribution team and was personally responsible for adding 40 RIAs to the firm’s platform.

From 2007 to 2013, Gatti worked in a variety of capacities at Charles Schwab, beginning as a senior relationship specialist, rising to team manager with responsibility for a group of RIAs that oversaw combined assets under management of $25 billion.

Gatti is a certified financial planner and holds the FINRA Series 7, 63, 9 and 10 licenses.
