RMB Capital has announced that it’s gained a team of wealth management professionals, most recently at Calamos Wealth Management, in its office in Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois.

The team consists of Tom E. Kukulski, CFP, who joins RMB as senior vice president and senior wealth advisor; Terrence M. LaBant, J.D., joining as senior vice president and director of wealth strategy; Mohini M. McCormick, CFP, joining as vice president and wealth advisor; and Mark L. Sagen, CFA, joining as wealth advisor. All had served in senior roles at Calamos. The team had been responsible for more than $500 million in assets under management.

According to RMB, the addition of the new team means it can now provide local advisory coverage throughout the western Chicago suburbs. Headquartered in downtown Chicago, the firm already has wealth management teams in Lake Forest and in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, with a new office set to open in October in St. Joseph, Michigan.

“We couldn’t be more excited about bringing this experienced, close-knit team on board,” said Julie Vander Weele, partner and managing director of wealth management at RMB. “They share our philosophy of putting clients first and delivering personalized financial plans that are integrated with sophisticated investment solutions.”

Kukulski, with 17 years of experience, has previously held positions at Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley and LPL Financial. LaBant, with 27 years of experience in trust and estate planning, tax planning, and wealth strategy, has worked at Ostrow Reisin Berk & Abrams, Fuchs & Roselli Ltd. and Ungaretti & Harris LLP.

McCormick, with 27 years of financial management experience, held earlier posts at Fifth Third Private Bank, Credit Suisse and Lehman Brothers, while Sagen, who previously served in advisory roles at BMO Harris Bank and J.P. Morgan Chase, has 12 years of experience.
