Health care consultants at PricewaterhouseCoopers have found that few hospitals have a thorough plan for coping with the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.
PPACA is supposed to help hospitals bring in more paying patients by expanding Medicaid enrollment and by helping some uninsured people get private coverage through the new public exchange system.
The PricewaterhouseCoopers interviewed hospital company executives and found that many are suffering from “reform fatigue.”
Some hospitals are not even offering PPACA coverage information on their websites.
