In response to New York Insurance Department to Scrutinize Health Insurance Rates

Susanscott wrote:

“Why doesn’t a hard-working licensed broker/agent have the right to earn a living? Scrutinize the other stuff. We’re not the ones making the rates go up. Tired of people trying to destroy my livelihood. All I do is work, and it seems it’s less appreciated with all the scrutiny. We’re not the problem!”

“The solution is simple and will take care of the majority of objections to privately owned long-term care: give us a dollar-for-dollar tax deduction for long-term care premiums. Since real tax reform is not on the horizon and we have to work within the tax code that we have, this is the only real incentive for the middle class to take care of themselves.”

PCIP

In response to CCIIO: Annual PCIP Member Claims Average $28,994

“No surprises here. We have very sick people who have been given a green light to get their huge, immediate claims paid in exchange for paying a healthy person’s premium. That is their ticket for this free ride, courtesy of our tax dollars. How unjust and unfair that privileged people get a free ride for their health care, while the rest of us must pay for ourselves AND them!

No wonder that people who get something that is of immense value for nothing object to losing Obamacare, while the rest of us who pay the freight cheer for its immediate demise. No surprises there, either.”
