Checks and Balances TV (CBTV) announces its official public launch commencing with its St. Patrick themed show titled, "The Luck of the Informed." The show is broadcast through its website, www.ChecksandBalances.TV, today and every Wednesday at 4 p.m. EST. This new, entertaining and informative program and interactive site challenges American consumers to dig deeper into today's financial headlines, check the facts, balance the information and discover what it all really means to them and their finances. CBTV is committed to bringing financial truth and balanced advice to the nation each week.

"Americans are in a financial dilemma today," explains the show's host and creator Matthew J. Rettick, a leading authority on personal finance. "Never has there been a greater need for objective financial advice. Our goal is to teach the public how to "check" facts and "balance" information to better understand what current financial headlines mean to them, and empower them to make informed financial decisions. The truth is that there are two sides to the coin on every topic, and we provide both sides to every financial topic, along with unbiased insight and balanced financial advice."

Checks and Balances TV is comprised of eight reoccurring, informative and/or interactive segments. The main and most notable segments include: Financial Headlines, an overview of the week's top financial stories; Checks and Balances, the process dedicated to checking the facts surrounding financial headlines and balancing the information; and On the Street, a video montage of the show's host, Matthew J. Rettick, asking consumers nationwide about their thoughts and fears on investing their money, reducing debt, retirement, current events and much more.

The program helps consumers decode what the current financial news means to them, provides background on the subject and then reveals the other side of the story. It illustrates the "Checks and Balances" process and teaches viewers how to apply this process on their own to find the "truth" about many complicated and misrepresented financial issues. It offers appropriate action steps to take to protect one's financial future and gives a weekly tip, tool or technique to aid in the journey towards financial freedom and retirement success.

At www.ChecksandBalances.TV, users can educate themselves on financial topics of interest at their leisure. The site is comprised of features such as: financial headlines and numbers, audio and video podcasts, wake-up tools, money saving tips, downloads and free reports. An online store is slated for its grand opening later in the year. Users can "Ask Matt" their financial questions, take financial quizzes, participate in polls, share thoughts about hot financial topics, rate videos, post comments, connect with CBTV's social networks and likeminded members, pass along favorite content to friends and sign-up as a CBTV member to receive a free weekly e-newsletter and gain access to "member-only" content and information.

Through the CBTV resource center users have access to a number of tools, the most notable of which include: Financial Fact or Fiction, designed to test the viewers' knowledge on financial topics and correct misinformation; 21st Century Investing, dedicated to the new rules of saving and investing and how to invest wisely, reduce taxes, eliminate fees and safely grow wealth; and Debt Free Retirement, developed to help consumers spend less, save more, pay off debt and create a plan of action for securing a comfortable retirement.

"The show and site really speak and appeal to all ages," stated Chief Operating Officer Kevin Vozar. "People from ages 20 to 120 are learning something important about their money, and in an entertaining and informational way."

Other notable CBTV offerings include the monthly The Truth About… series, providing registered members with the pros and cons, both sides of the coin to each financial product or investment covered on the site or show. CBTV's social networking friends and fans have access to the viral vault of videos, which include The Lighter Side of Finance skits, humorous lessons that prove that not all aspects of finance have to be taken seriously, along with humorous lessons and show bloopers.
