The Hartford Mutual Funds announced Sept. 22 that fees on six fixed-income funds would be permanently reduced.

The funds affected by the fee reduction are The Hartford High Yield Fund, The Hartford High Yield Municipal Bond Fund, The Hartford Income Fund, The Hartford Inflation Plus Fund, The Hartford Short Duration Fund and The Hartford Total Return Bond Fund.

Fees will be reduced by between 0.01% and 0.15%.

“Financial advisors and investment consultants want lower expenses and fee transparency,” Jim Davey, executive vice president of The Hartford Mutual Funds, said in a press release. “In response, we continuously look for ways to improve our fund offerings.”

The latest fee cut follows a reduction earlier this year when The Hartford reduced fees on 36 of its mutual funds.
