There are great opportunities for advisors to reach their clients and prospects through e-media. Below are four ways you can build your online presence.
- Put the emphasis on visitor experience, not traffic. Traffic is useless if you can’t convert it into paying customers. A website with just 500 visits per day but optimized for visitor experience can bring twice the income than an un-optimized one with 10,000 visits per day.
- Suggest related websites in your own website’s information area. That will bring some traffic.
- Use sitemap services on Google, Yahoo and MSN. Not only will it provide you with invaluable server and website data, but it will get your pages in their index faster.
- Don’t be a copycat. Don’t write news or posts just to have something in Google. Nowadays, duplicate-content filters are continuously evolving, and even if you gain something on the short term, you will lose it later. Be innovative.
