Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company has introduced a long term care insurance product that comes with an extensive menu of options.

The product, SignatureCare 500, features a shared-care rider that provides flexibility for couples and partners with differing coverage needs. The option, available to 2 covered individuals, provides a shared third pool of money that each can access after exhausting the insured’s own pool of money.

The company offers 2 base SignatureCare 500 policies. One offers coverage for care in nursing homes or assisted living facilities, and the other covers care at home or in the community, as well as in nursing or assisted care facilities.

The policy also comes with access to personal assessment and care coordination services, MassMutual says.
