New COO for Schwab Institutional; Expanded Duties for Sales Chief

Schwab Institutional has named Patricia Cox COO, the position last held by the current head of SI, Charles Goldman. Cox, 39, began her career with Schwab in 2000, and comes to Schwab’s advisor division from its retail unit, Schwab Investor Services, where she has been in charge of client service and support since 2005.

In addition, SI announced that the executive in charge of sales, Bernie Clark, will expand his responsibilities to include all of Schwab’s practice management programs for advisors, along with technology consulting and Schwab Performance Technologies, the portfolio management software subsidiary which recently acquired Etelligent Consulting.
