CIGNA HealthCare has agreed to acquire Choicelinx Corp., a benefits technology company.[@@]
Choicelinx, Manchester, N.H., develops the Benefits Configurator system. The system can give consumers the ability to customize many different health plan features, such as coinsurance rates for specific types of health care services.
CIGNA HealthCare, Bloomfield, Conn., is not discussing the deal price, but it says it will be running Choicelinx as a separate, stand-alone unit.
Donna Lencki, the chief executive of Choicelinx and a company founder, will continue to run the company, and Choicelinx will continue to sell its products and services to health plans other than CIGNA, CIGNA HealthCare says.
CIGNA HealthCare is a unit of CIGNA Corp., Philadelphia.
