Investors Capital Hires Former NAVA Chairman

NU Online News Service, May 26, 2004, 1:15 p.m. EDT – Investors Capital Holdings Ltd., Lynnfield, Mass., has hired a well-known variable annuity marketer to be president of its investment advisory unit, Eastern Point Advisors Inc.[@@]

The new Eastern Point president, L. Gregory Gloeckner, served as chairman of the National Association for Variable Annuities, Reston, Va., from 2001 to 2002 and still is a NAVA board member.

Gloeckner has been vice president of business development for insurance at Curian Capital L.L.C., Denver, a unit of Prudential P.L.C., London, since 2003.

Before that, Gloeckner ran the variable annuity marketing departments at Midland National Life Insurance Company, Sioux Falls, S.D., and Conseco Inc., Carmel, Ind. While Gloeckner was at Conseco, he developed the company’s first mutual fund program.

Gloeckner has a bachelor’s degree in business from Franklin University.
