UnumProvident Site Promotes Integrated Disability Management

NU Online News Service, Nov. 13, 11:35 a.m. – UnumProvident Corp., Chattanooga, Tenn., has introduced a new Web site that promotes integrated disability leave management, at http://www.unumprovident.com/idm/

The site is aimed at benefits buyers at employers with more than 2,000 employees. It discusses absence-management tools such as return-to-work program planning, service-oriented claims management, and coordination of workers’ compensation and non-occupational disability claims.

One tool available is a Web-based “readiness inventory” calculator. Visitors can use the calculator to evaluate an employer’s organizational complexity, coordination of services and corporate culture. The tool uses the three scores to come up with an “integration readiness index.”
