NU Online News Service, July 3, 12:43 p.m. – John Hancock Financial Services Inc., Boston, has hired Todd Benefits Group Inc., Saco, Maine, to handle administration for its LTC Express Ticket program.

Hancock began developing the LTC Express Ticket program in 2001, to create a simple LTC insurance sales system for financial advisors who are not LTC specialists.

When financial advisors participate in the LTC Express Ticket program, they can conduct short pre-qualifying interviews rather than helping clients fill out long application questionnaires, Hancock says. Once a client gets through the pre-qualification process and selects the desired benefits, the advisor fills out a brief form, or "ticket," and sends it to LTC specialists for further processing.

Todd Benefits will now provide the LTC specialists, and it will be using Web technology to make the process even more efficient, Hancock says.
