NU Online News Service, May 9, 10:44 a.m. – The National Underwriter Company, Cincinnati, the company that publishes this Web site, has hired Sharon Schwartzman to be editor-in-chief of Technology Decisions, the company’s technology magazine for the insurance and financial services industry.

Schwartzman will be responsible for the Technology Decisions Exposition & Conference, the Tech Central Online Community and the Technology Decisions bi-weekly electronic newsletter as well as the content for the magazine.

Schwartzman, who will work in National Underwriter’s Hoboken, N.J., office, has also been editor-in-chief of Wall Street & Technology magazine, managing editor of Success magazine, and founding editor-in-chief of KPMG’s online business news service, Consumer Markets Insider.

She succeeds Andrew Kantor, who has left the company.

“I am thrilled to be a part of Technology Decisions,” Schwartzman says in a statement. “ The magazine is a critical resource not only for implementing the powerful business tactics needed now, but for learning to thrive on the edges of change to come.”

“Sharon’s experience in leading a technology publication for a business audience will serve her well in this role,” says Peggy Walker, group publisher of National Underwriter’s Magazine & Conference Group. “Additionally, she brings a strong editorial management background in both print and online publications.”
