Wells Fargo Reports Higher Fourth-Quarter Net Income

NU Online News Service, Jan. 15, 2:26 p.m. – Wells Fargo & Company, San Francisco, is reporting $1.2 billion in net income for the fourth quarter of 2001 on $5.9 billion in revenue, compared with $1.1 billion in net income on $5.4 billion in revenue for the fourth quarter of 2000.

The financial services company says fees from sales of mutual funds and annuities increased 4%, to $207 million.
