NU Online News Service, Sept. 10, 2:15 p.m. – Independent Financial Marketing Group Inc., Purchase, N.Y., has hired Patrick Connelly as the senior vice president in charge of new business development for the central region.
Connelly, who has almost 30 years of experience in banking and investment programs, most recently was director of retail banking at Superior Bank F.S.B., Hinsdale, Ill.
Independent is a unit of the Liberty Financial Companies Inc.
Sun Life Financial Services of Canada Inc., Toronto, announced plans to acquire Independent in May. The companies had hoped to complete the deal by Sept. 30.
