Large P-C Broker Hands Small Group Health Accounts Over To Web Broker

NU Online News Service, June 7, 3:15 p.m. – Digital Insurance Inc., Atlanta, a Web-based health insurance broker, says it will be handling most individual and small group health insurance accounts for Hilb, Rogal and Hamilton Company, Glen Allen, Va., a large property-casualty insurance broker.

Digital Insurance has agreed to develop a health insurance sales Web site carrying Hilb’s name as well as its own, and Hilb has agreed to put a link to the health insurance site on its own site. Digital will act as the broker of record for Hilb agencies that refer individuals and groups with 25 or fewer lives for health insurance.

Hilb will also put Digital in charge of some existing small group health insurance accounts, Digital says.
