Bank of America Overhauls Mobile App

The updated app provides a new platform that consolidates five BofA apps, including banking and investing.

Bank of America has updated its mobile app, allowing 57 million digital clients to view and manage their financial lives through a new, unified platform that consolidates five apps — Bank of America, Merrill Edge, MyMerrill, Bank of America Private Bank and Benefits OnLine.

“Our mission is to continuously innovate and evolve our digital capabilities to provide best-in-class solutions for all of our clients,” said Nikki Katz, Bank of America’s head of digital. “By combining five apps into one, we’re putting clients at the center of the experience, with our full enterprise and next-gen technology at their fingertips.”

Bank of America said its mobile app is one of the first in the industry to combine banking, investing and retirement in one simplified mobile experience. The app provides an overview of all accounts, tools such as a net worth estimator, a payments and transfer center and the ability to transfer funds in more than 140 currencies.
