New York Life Appoints Market Manager: Executive Changes

Wykeeta Peel will continue to be the manager of the women's market.

New York Life has named Wykeeta Peel market manager of its African American market unit.

Peel is a corporate vice president at the company who has been market manager of the women’s market. She will continue to hold that post as well as the African American market post.

She will be involved in recruiting, sales and marketing of annuities as well as life insurance and other products.

She succeeds Eric Jackson, who is now head of diversity, equity and inclusion for agency at New York Life.

Peel joined the company as a market development consultant in 2011.

Before that, she spent about five years as a regional sales marketing manager at MetLife.

She has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County and a master’s degree in management from the University of Phoenix.

Equitable

Equitable has named JM Spagnuolo head of distribution, employee benefits.

Spagnuolo was previously interim head of distribution and east regional vice president.

He began working for Equitable in 2017.

Earlier, he held sales and marketing positions at The Hartford, Lincoln Financial and AIG.

He has a bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University.
